Sea of blogs and moms
It’s a sea of blogs out there.

Welcome Welcome Welcome.  My name is Karrie and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist Mommy.  I rarely separate the two from each other because I feel that I am both all-day/everyday!  In case you are wondering what will make this blog different than all the other speech and mom blogs out there, I thought I would share with you my philosophy on life, which is….. Just M.O.M It.  M.O.M. modestly stands for “Multitask. Organize. Make-it-Happen.”  This philosophy gets me through a hectic day of IEPs, meetings, tantrums, sibling arguments, diapers, crying babies, etc.  It brings me back to reality when I think I can’t handle one more thing on my plate. It motivates me to say “no” when I need to and to say “yes” to something fun and frivolous.  I struggle, like all moms do, to be the best of the best.  I want to be perfect for my kids and my husband.  I want to be super speechie and provide care that goes above and beyond. In short…. I want to do it all.  The problem with that is, often I come to the reality that “all” may be a little lofty and naive.  I am no longer a single, care- free kid that can dent a car door because mommy and daddy will fix it.  I can no longer expect grandma to run me through Taco Bell for a comfort burrito.  I have responsibilities that aren’t always conducive to “having it all.”  I can’t take my kids to the indoor water park when our bank account reads $44.98.  I can’t run seamless social groups and articulation groups whenever my heart desires.  I have to sit down, take a breath, and “Just M.O.M It.”  Divide & Concur.   Survival with a bit of grace and class I think is another way to put it…. and to be perfectly honest with you I AM HAPPY.  I have been blessed to be raised and influenced by a village in addition to terrific parents and a wonderful husband.  This blog is for me to learn from you too so I can continue to “M.O.M” it the best way I can. I intend to share good times and bad with you all, whether it be speech therapy related or mommy related.  So please come join me. Like, Share, and Care 🙂Just M.O.M It
